We’re all the same. We all come from the same source. When it really comes down to it, there’s not much separating us.
When someone decides they don’t want to be just like everyone else. They don’t want to settle and just become part of the norm. At some point they experience a defining moment, when they decide to become uncommon. They go against the grain in order to fulfill the burning desire within.
Age makes no difference, once you have a goal in mind, you can achieve it!
When he was 15 years old, Swedish tennis star Bjorn Borg dropped out of school to focus on his tennis career.
Thomas Edison completed his first invention at the age of 21.
Bob Marley recorded his mega-hit “I Shot The Sheriff” at the age of 28.
By the age of 32, Alexander the Great had conquered most of the known world.
Kareem Abdul Jabbar played in the NBA at 42 years of age, and Jack Nicklaus won a Masters at the age of 46.
J.R.R Tolkien published his first “Lord of the Rings” book at the age of 62.
Larry King’s 50th anniversary of broadcasting came at the age of 73.
The list could go on and on. The point is, people are capable, and do, amazing things all of the time. Too often people find themselves living by fear instead of faith. We all have big dreams and goals, but instead of living the dream, people only live to dream.
The key to chasing and achieving the big goals we have is to first set our intention. What is it that we truly want? What will make us happy and fulfilled? Once the intention is set we need to go to work and get out of the way. This is essentially forgetting how something will come to be. FTH (Forget The How). People set intentions all the time, but it never comes to fruition because they get caught in the how. They begin to wonder and doubt how it could actually happen for them. The key is to dream, act, believe, and then receive.
The great thing is that you don’t have to be the best or have experience to achieve the goal. You just have to get started. An important step is to practice gratitude for all that we’ve been blessed with. Gratitude helps us attract more of what we love into our lives.
We are and become whatever we tell ourselves we are. Don’t let other people’s opinions get in the way. They don’t matter. People aren’t going to support your big dreams because it makes their dreams and life seem small. That’s not your problem. Focus on your goal and stay in your lane. Excellence exists within us all and it’s all in our mind.
Performance = Capability + Behavior
What’s the dream? What’s the thing you want to do but if you told people, some would laugh? I’ll share mine with you. It’s to own a beach house and a home in the Colorado Rockies within five years while having financial freedom to travel the world and meet awesome people.
That’s my intention.
Whatever it is, I encourage you to speak it. Speak it into to existence. If you really want it and believe it can happen, you need to share it. Be vocal about. More people want to help you reach your goal than you know.
If our work ethic matches our ambition, our dreams will come true.
Be who you say you are and who know is within.
When people laugh, criticize, or mock you and your dreams, just smile and say in your head, “I’m gonna do it.”
Here are five reasons why you should go for it:
- There are people who want you to win and will help you do so.
- Decide. Act. Believe. Receive. The Law of Attraction works.
- The only thing that can stop you is your own limiting beliefs.
- You have a unique story and gift that needs to be shared with the world.
- You will look back one day with remorse and wish you had.
You can do this. Go for it!
